Safari Itinerary
Drive to Nale Moru Gate (approx 2 hours). Begin trek through farmland and pine forest. Trek to Simba Camp (2625m). Dinner and overnight.
Trek through moorland zone. Views of Kibo and Mawenzi. Reach Second Cave (3450m). Acclimatization walk. Dinner and overnight.
Trek across moorland with views of Mawenzi. Reach Third Cave (3870m). Early dinner and rest.
Trek to School Hut (4750m) via Kibo saddle. Stunning views of glaciers. Dinner and early rest.
Start summit attempt at midnight. Reach Gilman's Point (5685m) then Uhuru Peak (5895m). Descend to Horombo Hut (3720m). Celebration dinner!
Trek through rainforest to Marangu Gate. Lunch, receive certificates. Drive back to Moshi/Arusha.
